💜 September is Recovery Month & Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Each September, we pause to recognize two powerful movements of hope and healing: National Recovery Month and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Recovery Month celebrates the strength of individuals living in recovery and reminds us that treatment works and recovery is possible. It’s a time to highlight the courage of those who share their stories, reduce the stigma around addiction and mental health, and uplift the importance of peer and community support.

At the same time, Suicide Prevention Awareness Month calls us to learn the warning signs, break the silence, and remind one another that connections save lives. Reaching out, listening without judgment, and offering support can make all the difference.

Together, these observances share a common message: hope is real, help is available, and no one has to walk their journey alone.

📞 If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember you are not alone. Call or text 988 or chat via 988lifeline.org for immediate support.

Let’s honor this month by supporting recovery, promoting mental health, and standing together to prevent suicide.
